What is IRONZ?

IRONZ is the name of the New Zealand Haemochromatosis Support and Awareness Group. The purpose of our organisation is as follows:

• To provide support, information and encouragement, through the group process, to individuals with Haemochromatosis and provide opportunities to meet with others who have an interest in this disorder.

• To inform and distribute knowledge to all members.

• To liaise with the medical profession and other interested parties whenever possible (or required) so that a greater mutual appreciation of the disorder can be achieved.

• To provide information and resources regarding Haemochromatosis and its management through any media available.

• To encourage and maintain a high interest in research into Haemochromatosis.

• To encourage and seek sponsorship to maintain the support group as a non-profit organisation.
